“After several years of managing and trying to affect change in a large global manufacturer… it was time for me to get back to basics.”
Our president and CEO, Steve Robinson, has been in the printed circuit board industry since 1971.
After years working as a manager with a large global manufacturer, he found that the culture did not necessarily match his own values and decided to get back to basics. In 2008, he acquired Advanced Printed Circuits Technology and formed the APCT we know today. This move allowed him to create an environment that fostered three of his core values:
Steve has always believed that good business involves integrity and treating people with respect, supporting the customer to maintain their trust, and saying what you do and doing what you say. These are the principles he brought with him, and the guidelines he used to recruit a passionate team that shares the same values. Once the foundation was laid, APCT was well on the path to forming a business that values Passion, Commitment, and Trust.
This business plan led to “Best In Class” service and support, innovative technological advances, and world-class lead times. After years of double-digit growth, it’s safe to say this model is a successful one. Business principles learned in 1971 remain successful today: respect the people you work with, offer unconditional customer support, and keep things simple and honest.
