APCT is pleased to offer our Santa Clara area clients a service that may be necessary when a PCB design is welcomed into the marketplace and large quantities are needed to fulfill demand. Our solution is to join efforts with our off-shore partners, who also support a broad range of technologies and lead times, yet are able to deliver product that is much more cost effective than when manufactured domestically. APCT will seamlessly manage all aspects of our customer’s projects and therefore, call our service: the printed circuit board management program. Here’s how it works:
When interacting with our off-shore suppliers, our PCB program management value proposition is founded on 4 principles:
- Ease of Use
- Seamless Recipe Transfer
- Inventory Management
- Risk Mitigation
Advantage 1 is the ease of use of the program.
True to our commitment to providing “best-in-class” customer service, all of your contacts throughout the entire offshore manufacturing process will remain the same: you’ll speak with the same sales rep, same internal APCT contact, and the same friendly engineering and technical support staff for your entire customer service needs.
Advantage 2 is the seamless recipe transfer.
At APCT, our core competency is our DFM expertise. We take the time to hone your design and confirm that the board is the most reliable, the most robust to manufacture and thus, the most cost effective. Once the design is confirmed, we’ll then create a fully functional prototype. Once this prototype has been tested, vetted, and approved by you, we’ll contact our offshore manufacturing partners to augment the manufacturing process. Using our integrated Valor Genesis System, you can rely on a completely accurate product recipe transfer to guarantee that the production build will match the approved prototype down to the letter.
The offshore printed circuit board manufacturing is then closely monitored and rigorously quality-assured by the APCT team and you can rest easy in the knowledge that all of our global manufacturing partners in Northern China, Southern China, and Taiwan share our values of providing innovative technological solutions and incredibly fast cycle times. Our choice of partners, thorough oversight, and demanding QA process avoids many of the disadvantages that can adversely affect offshore production, like the use of poor quality materials in the product or supply-chain disruptions.
Advantage 3 is the risk mitigation.
Once the order is complete, all product will be first shipped to our domestic facilities for a thorough and rigorous review. When the boards pass this final test, they will be certified by us at APCT to meet our standards and your Santa Clara business’s exact specifications. If, for any reason, the off-shore pipeline is disrupted, APCT will build the product itself domestically and ship the product as quickly as possible to you until our off-shore supplier is back on line. This is advantage 3!
Advantage 4 is the inventory management services.
And lastly, we offer inventory management services and can develop programs to provide shipments in specific monthly quantities. If you would prefer drop shipments in particular monthly quantities, we can set up programs to meet those needs. APCT saves you the time and overhead cost associated with managing your off-shore supply chain! Together, APCT and our offshore partners can provide you with significant volume discounts without affecting product quality. You’ll receive all the cost benefits of offshore manufacturing and, through APCT’s program management, you’ll enjoy significant mitigation of potential risks.
Program management combines the immense cost-saving advantages with the APCT commitment to quality and client satisfaction to give your Santa Clara business a powerful tool in mass PCB manufacturing.
